    Product Description

    Amylmetacresol is a topical antiseptic and analgesic agent.1 It inhibits depolarization-induced whole-cell sodium currents in HEK293 cells expressing human voltage-gated sodium channel 1.2 (Nav1.2; EC50 = 56.3 µM). Formulations containing amylmetacresol have been used in oral lozenges for the treatment of pharyngitis.
